Haren has looked good of late with a 2.08 ERA in his last three starts, but it's hard to forget all of his struggles. I believe he's starting to turn it around, but he runs into a Boston team that his hot right now with a .353 average and 7.42 runs per 9 vs. RHP in their last 5. Boston at home scores 5.43 runs per 9 vs. RHP while the Dbacks just a .223 average and 3.44 runs per 9 vs. RHP on the road. Add in their miserable bullpen 8.07 ERA on the road and the Dbacks don't look like they can stay in this game in my opinion.
John Lackey has struggled with a 5.10 ERA at home, but the Sox have gone 5-2 in his 7 games started. Arizona is just 17-35 in their last 52 inter league games vs. a RH starter and just 16-45 in their last 61 overall as an under dog. Lackey has started to pitch better and has a start @ Arizona last year where he gave up just 5 hits in 7 innings of shut out baseball. Boston is 42-13 in their last 55 inter league home games and 69-25 in their last 94 inter league games overall.
The Mets stay hot last night with another win. They continue to get it done with the bats and they back it up with the pitching. RA Dickey will make another start and he's been surprisingly good. I think Dickey continues and I think the Mets bats stay hot as they roll with another win. Can't pass up this value we are getting.
